Connecting Instagram and Facebook

How to connect your academy's Instagram account and Facebook page so the agent answers direct messages and everything lands in the Inbox.

With Instagram and Facebook connected, your academy's direct messages come into DojoTally just like WhatsApp messages: the agent answers them and everything stays in the Inbox.

Where: menu → Agent → Connected channels → Connect Facebook and Instagram

Before you start

  • The Instagram account has to be a professional account (business or creator) and be linked to the academy's Facebook page.
  • You need to sign in with a Facebook account that manages that page.

Step by step

  1. Tap Connect Facebook and Instagram. A Meta window opens.
  2. Sign in with your Facebook account and choose the academy's page and its Instagram account.
  3. Accept the permissions to read and reply to messages.
  4. The window closes by itself and both channels appear in Connected channels.

From then on, Instagram and Messenger messages show up in the Inbox, each with its channel. You can turn the agent on or off per channel: for example, have it answer Instagram but not Facebook. See The agent.

When someone books a trial class on Instagram or Facebook, the agent asks for their WhatsApp number: the reminder goes out there. If they don’t leave it, the trial is marked No reminder in Trials.

Leads who write in on Instagram or Facebook also go into the Marketing funnel, with the channel they came from.
