Muay thai gyms

Full classes, and nobody lost on the waitlist

Muay thai has no single ranking system: some schools use colored prajied, others use their association's khan, and plenty use no ranks at all. What nearly every gym has is a limit on bags per class. DojoTally handles both.

  • Free up to 10 students
  • Class caps and waitlist
  • Class packs and drop-ins

Class caps

Every spot filled, every open spot announced

You set a cap on each class based on your bags or floor space. Spots are taken by booked trial classes and, if you turn it on, by reservations students make from their portal or by asking the agent. When a class fills up, people join the waitlist.

  • A separate cap for trialsHow many trial classes fit per day, so newcomers don't crowd out your students
  • Waitlist over WhatsAppThe first person gets notified and has a short window to take the spot
  • Booking from the portalStudents book or cancel from their phone, if you turn on bookings

Class packs and drop-ins

For the twice-a-week regular and the one passing through

Not everyone pays for the full month. You sell class packs, say ten classes, or a drop-in class, and each time the student checks in one is deducted. A traveler or someone visiting from another gym is logged as a visit, without signing them up as a student.

  • Pack balance shows up in the student portal
  • Drop-in classes paid online from the portal, if you take online payments
  • Kiosk rules: you decide who can check in

If a check-in logged by mistake is deleted, the class goes back into the pack automatically.

Prajied, khan or levels

Ranks if your school uses them. If not, nothing to set up.

Each step in your school's ladder is set up with its name and color: a prajied, a khan, or a level like Beginner, Intermediate and Advanced. You set the classes or months it takes and DojoTally shows you who's ready for the next one. If your gym doesn't use ranks, just leave it empty.

  • Requirements by classes, training hours or months
  • Minimum age for the levels that require one
  • Only staff see the list; the kru decides

Sample colors: each school sets its own order.

“Any spots open tomorrow?” The agent checks the real class cap before answering.

If the class is full, the agent doesn't promise a spot that doesn't exist: it offers another time with room or adds the person to the waitlist. It replies on WhatsApp, Instagram and Messenger, even at midnight.

Questions from muay thai gyms

Do I have to use ranks to use DojoTally?

No. Most features don't need them: dues, attendance, class caps, trial classes and the agent all work the same without belts or prajied.

What if my school uses an association's khan or prajied?

You load them as one more ranking ladder, each step with its name and color, in your association's order. Then you set whatever requirements you use.

How does the waitlist work?

When a capped class fills up, people join the list. If a spot opens up, the first person gets a WhatsApp and has a set time to confirm it; in the meantime, the spot is held for them. If they don't reply, it goes to the next one.

Can I charge a drop-in fee to someone just passing through?

Yes. You log the visit with a name and phone number, without signing them up as a student, and the class is recorded as paid. For people who come regularly, a class pack is the better fit.
