Disciplines, categories and belts

The Catalog sets up your academy's structure: what you teach, for which ages, belts in order, and family groups with discounts.

The Catalog is the foundation for everything else: plans, classes and promotions all hang off the disciplines, categories and belts you add here. It's best to set it up before you create your plans.

Disciplines

What you teach: BJJ, judo, muay thai, MMA… Each one shows how many active students and how many plans it has. The agent picks them up automatically: you don't need to write them anywhere else. To add one, tap Add.

Categories

Categories are by age: Adults, Juniors, Kids. They determine who checks in at the kiosk and which group each student belongs to. For each one you can set:

  • The age range.
  • The WhatsApp group for that category, which is included in the new student's welcome message.
  • Its own welcome message, if you want students in that category to get a different message from the general one.
  • Whether they check in at the kiosk (for example, the youngest kids usually don't).

Belts

The order of the list is the progression: the first belt goes at the top. Use the arrows to change it. Each belt has its color (and its tip color, if it has one), which is used in the profile, the portal and the member card.

If you teach jiu-jitsu, Add the IBJJF belts adds any Kids and adult belts you're missing, in the right place, without duplicating or renaming the ones you already have.

Groups

Families and companies, with their discount. For example, "Romero Family −10%": students in the group pay their fee with that discount. You pick the group when you sign up the student or in their profile.

Plans are also in the Catalog, right at the top: they have their own article, Plans.
